THE REVIEW COMES FIRST

Anyone who quotes you a number before looking is guessing

We look at the record before we price it. We do not pay for something we have not seen, which means the number you get is the number we are prepared to wire, not an indicative range that moves later.

HOW PRICING RUNS

From six questions to a number we will stand behind

  1. 01

    The intake

Six questions about what your company runs on. Two minutes, and no obligation on either side.

  2. 02

    The conversation

A Managing Partner, not an associate. This is where we establish whether a review is worth anyone's time.

  3. 03

    The review

We look at the record. Bounded scope, days rather than weeks, and it happens before any number is discussed.

  4. 04

    The price

Typically $100K to $2M, agreed and papered within a week, paid Net 30 to 60 once the data is approved, shared, and anonymized.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

What a review actually examines

The review is bounded and quick, but it is real. These are the things that move a price.

Length of history

How long the business has been producing a record. Years of ordinary operating beat a short burst of volume.

Visible reasoning

Whether decisions come with their arguments attached. Threads and drafts carry more than finished documents do.

Coverage

How much of the business the record actually spans, across communication, documents, and systems of record.

Condition

Whether the material is intact and coherent enough to prepare and anonymize without losing what makes it useful.

QUESTIONS ABOUT PRICING

What owners ask about how the number is set

How much does Polyshares pay?

Deals typically land between $100K and $2M paid to the company. Depth of operating history and how much visible reasoning the record contains move the number far more than raw volume does.

Can you give a range before the review?

Only the general one. A specific number before looking would be a guess, and a guess is what gets renegotiated later.

What if the review comes back low?

Then we say so, and it has cost you a short conversation. There is no fee and no commission at any stage.

Does the price change after we sign?

No. That is the point of reviewing first. Terms are agreed and papered within a week, and payment follows Net 30 to 60.
